Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the asked.io service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Effective October 19, 2026.
1. Who runs the service
The asked.io service is operated by the administrator of the asked.io service. You can reach us at [email protected]. In these terms, "we" and "Asked" mean the administrator of the asked.io service, and "you" means the person or organization that uses the service.
2. The service
Asked is online survey software. It lets you build surveys, collect answers by text, voice and video, and get transcripts, themes, sentiment, quotes and summaries made with AI models. The features of each plan are listed on the pricing page.
3. Your account
You need an account to publish surveys. You must give a valid email address, keep your password and sign-in codes safe, and tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for actions taken in your workspace by its members.
Asked is sold to businesses and professionals. You must be at least 18 and able to accept these terms for yourself or for the organization you represent.
4. Plans, billing and renewal
Plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in US dollars, through our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. Prices may change for future periods, and we tell you by email before a new price applies to you.
You can cancel at any time in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Payments are final. The only exceptions are described in our refund policy.
5. Changing plans
When you move to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing, we charge the prorated difference right away, and the new plan starts once that payment succeeds. A move to a lower plan applies from the next billing period and does not create a refund.
6. Usage limits
Each plan has limits, such as responses per month, transcription minutes and AI follow-up questions. Limits measure consumption in each billing period. Deleting surveys, answers or recordings does not restore quota already used. Unused quota does not carry over to the next period.
7. Your responsibility toward respondents
You decide whom you survey and what you ask. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect answers, for telling respondents how their answers are used, and for getting any consent the law requires, including consent to record voice or video. For respondent answers, you are the controller and we process them on your behalf, as described in our privacy policy.
8. Answer walls
You may publish an answer on an answer wall only when the respondent gave consent to publication in the survey. If a respondent withdraws consent, you must remove the answer from public view. Answers without consent stay private.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use Asked to:
- collect data unlawfully or without the notices and consents the law requires,
- survey children under 16 without the consent required by law,
- send spam or unsolicited bulk invitations,
- publish content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory or infringes the rights of others,
- collect payment card numbers, passwords or similar sensitive credentials through surveys,
- probe, overload or break the security of the service, or reverse engineer it,
- resell the service or share accounts beyond the seats of your plan.
We may suspend surveys or accounts that break these rules.
10. Intellectual property
You keep all rights to your survey content and to the answers you collect. You give us the permission needed to host, process and display that content to deliver the service. Asked, its software, design and brand belong to the administrator of the asked.io service, and these terms give you no rights to them beyond using the service.
11. AI output
Transcripts, themes, sentiment, follow-up questions and summaries are produced by AI models and can contain mistakes. Check important findings against the original answers before you rely on them. You are responsible for decisions you make based on AI output.
12. Availability
We work to keep Asked running and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability and no service level agreement applies. We may change, add or remove features, and we tell you in advance about changes that materially reduce your plan.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
14. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we must close under the law. After closure, your data is deleted according to the retention rules in our privacy policy.
15. Disputes and governing rules
If you have a complaint, email [email protected] first so we can try to solve it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that mandatory consumer protection law gives you.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We publish the new version on this page with a new effective date and tell account owners by email about important changes. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
