Employee engagement survey software people answer in their own words
Engagement scores move, and HR teams are left guessing why. Asked is employee engagement survey software that lets people answer open questions by typing, speaking or recording a short video. AI transcribes the answers and groups them into themes, so People teams see what is behind the numbers without reading every comment by hand.
Employees often say more than they type
A long comment box at the end of an engagement survey is easy to skip. Speaking for thirty seconds is easier for many people, especially frontline staff answering on a phone between shifts. Asked gives each person the choice of text, voice or video on every open question, and text always stays available.
- Open answers by text, voice note or video.
- Rating and 0 to 10 questions for engagement and eNPS style scores.
- Multiple choice and yes or no for quick checks.
- One question per screen, so the survey works well on a phone.
Pulse, onboarding, exit and engagement surveys in one place
- Engagement surveys once or twice a year with a mix of scores and open questions.
- Pulse surveys every few weeks with two or three questions.
- Onboarding surveys at day 30 and day 90 to hear how new hires settle in.
- Exit surveys that capture the reasons people leave. Our guide to exit survey questions has wording you can reuse.
- Training and event feedback right after the session, shared by QR code.

You decide whether to ask for names
Employees answer through a link without creating an account. The survey creator decides whether the survey asks for a name, a team or nothing at all. If you want people to speak openly, say clearly at the start what you collect and who reads the answers. Voice and video answers can include the person's voice and face, so tell people that text is always an option.
Each survey has a data retention setting, and answers can be deleted on request. Roles in the workspace let you limit who can view results: owner, editor and viewer. Read more on the survey data security page.
Themes and quotes for the leadership review
Asked transcribes voice and video answers, assigns sentiment to each answer and groups answers into themes such as workload, management, pay, tools or growth. Each theme shows the quotes behind it. The one-page summary per survey is ready for the leadership meeting, and you can export to CSV or PDF. See how this works in our survey analysis software.
Pricing per workspace, seats included
A 200 person company running a pulse survey needs responses, not seats for every employee. Respondents never count as seats. Growth is $129 a month or $64 billed yearly with 2,500 responses a month and 5 seats for the People team. Business is $299 a month or $149 billed yearly with 10,000 responses, 15 seats and the audit log. Compare plans on survey software pricing.
