Survey data security at Asked
Your survey answers can include voices, faces and honest opinions. This page lists how Asked protects that data, who can see it, and what you control. It is written for the person who has to approve a new tool.
Encryption in transit
Every connection to Asked, from the survey a respondent opens to the dashboard your team uses, runs over encrypted HTTPS. Text, voice and video answers travel encrypted between the respondent's browser and our service.
Access by role
Each workspace member has one role. Owners manage the workspace, members and billing. Editors build surveys and work with answers. Viewers read results and summaries without changing anything.
- Owner manages members, plans and workspace settings.
- Editor creates, edits and shares surveys and reviews answers.
- Viewer reads answers, themes and summaries.
Single sign-on and audit log
The Enterprise plan includes single sign-on with SAML, so your team signs in through your own identity provider. Business and Enterprise include an audit log that records actions in the workspace, so you can see who changed what and when.
Retention per survey and deletion on request
You set how long answers are kept for each survey. When a respondent asks for their data to be removed, you can delete their answers, including voice and video recordings and transcripts.
Consent before any answer goes public
Answers stay private by default. An answer can appear on a public answer wall only when the respondent ticked the consent box, and only if you choose to publish it.
Your respondent data stays yours
Respondent data belongs to the customer who runs the survey. Asked processes it on your behalf to deliver the service. Respondent answers are never used to train public AI models, and the AI models we work with process answers under contract only to produce your transcripts and analysis. The privacy policy and terms describe this in full.
Data processing agreement
A data processing agreement is available to download from your account on the Enterprise plan. You can review and keep it with your vendor records without waiting for anyone.
Report a security issue
If you find a security issue in Asked, email [email protected] with a description and the steps to reproduce it. We review every report and reply to the address you write from.
Security features by plan
Roles and encryption are part of every plan. The audit log starts on Business at $299 a month, or $149 a month billed yearly. SSO with SAML and the full set of controls come with Enterprise at $799 a month, or $399 a month billed yearly. Compare every limit on the survey software pricing page, see what the survey platforms page covers, and read how answers are processed on the survey analysis software page.
