Survey software FAQ
Short, direct answers about Asked, the online survey software where people answer by text, voice or video and AI reads every answer. If your question is not here, write to [email protected].
Getting started with Asked
Asked is online survey software for teams. Respondents answer open questions by typing, recording a voice note or recording a video, and AI turns every answer into transcripts, themes, sentiment and quotes your team can use the same day.
Yes. The homepage has a one-time demo: type what you want to find out, pick who answers, and Asked drafts a survey for you in a real product view. To publish it, share it and collect answers, you create an account and choose a plan.
Click Get started, enter your email and a password, then type the six-digit code we send to your email. You are signed in right away and keep the survey draft you made in the demo.
Most surveys take a few minutes. Describe your goal, review the drafted questions, set which answer formats each question accepts, and share the link. The survey maker page shows each step.
Respondents and answer formats
No. Respondents open the survey in the browser on a phone or laptop. Voice notes and videos are recorded in the browser, with no app and no account.
Each open question accepts typed text, a voice note or a video. You can allow all three or limit a question to the formats you want. Read more on video surveys and voice feedback.
The maximum video length depends on the plan. It is 2 minutes on Starter, 3 minutes on Growth, and 5 minutes on Business and Enterprise.
Open answer (text, voice or video), rating, NPS from 0 to 10, multiple choice, yes or no, and file upload. Surveys run one question per screen, so they feel like a short conversation.
Share a link, print a QR code, send an email invite, or embed the survey on your website as an inline block, a popup or a side tab. See website survey tools for the embed options.
AI analysis of every answer
Asked transcribes voice and video answers, groups all answers into themes, scores sentiment per answer, pulls key quotes with timestamps, and writes a one-page summary per survey. The survey analysis software page explains each part.
It is one optional extra question that Asked asks right after an answer, based on what the respondent said. It is off by default, you switch it on per survey, and each plan includes a monthly number of follow-ups.
Yes. You can export answers, transcripts and themes to CSV, and the survey summary to PDF. Business and Enterprise plans also send new answers to your own systems through webhooks.
The AI summary helps you find patterns fast, and every theme and quote links back to the original answer. Check important findings against the source answers before you act on them.
Privacy and respondent data
You do. Respondent data belongs to the customer who runs the survey. Asked processes it on your behalf to deliver the service, as described in the privacy policy.
No. Respondent answers are never used to train public AI models. The AI models we work with process answers under contract only to produce your transcripts and analysis.
Yes, with answer walls. You can publish selected answers only when the respondent ticked the consent box, and each published answer gets its own page. Answers without consent stay private.
You set the retention period for each survey. Starter keeps answers for 12 months by default, and Growth and higher plans let you choose the period. You can also delete answers on request from a respondent.
Plans and billing
Starter is $49 a month, Growth $129, Business $299 and Enterprise $799. Paying yearly saves 50 percent, which brings the plans to $24, $64, $149 and $399 per month, billed once a year. Full limits are on the survey software pricing page.
Your account shows usage against each limit for the current billing period. When you reach one, you can move to a higher plan at any time, and your quota starts again with the next billing period.
No. Limits count what you use in a billing period, such as responses collected and minutes transcribed. Deleting surveys or answers does not give that usage back.
Yes. You can move to a higher plan or to yearly billing at any time from your account, and the prorated difference is charged right away. A move to a lower plan applies from the next billing period.
You can cancel at any time in your account and keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments are final, with narrow exceptions listed in our refund policy.
Teams and security
Starter includes 1 seat, Growth 5, Business 15 and Enterprise 50. Each person gets a role: owner, editor or viewer.
Yes. SSO with SAML is part of the Enterprise plan. Business and Enterprise also include an audit log of actions in the workspace. Details are on the survey data security page.
