Asked

Website survey tools that ask visitors at the right moment

The best time to ask about a page is while someone is on it. Asked puts a survey on your site with a short embed, lets visitors answer by typing, speaking or recording, and analyzes every answer for you. You choose where it appears and how it looks.

Three ways to place a survey on your site

  • Inline, inside the page, for help centers, pricing pages and post-purchase screens
  • Popup, opening over the page, for focused questions after an action
  • Side tab, a small tab at the edge of the screen that visitors open when they want

Each option uses the same survey, so you can test placements without rebuilding questions.

Show the survey on the pages that matter

Website surveys in Asked can appear on chosen pages of your site. Ask about pricing on the pricing page, about setup in the docs, and about checkout on the order confirmation. Questions that match the page get answers that are specific enough to act on.

Questions that suit a website visit

Visitors give you a few seconds, so keep website surveys short. A strong setup is one rating or yes or no question followed by one open question. Common goals include:

  • Why a visitor did not start a trial today
  • What was missing from a help article
  • What almost stopped a purchase
  • What a new feature should do next

Type your goal in Asked and the draft adapts to a short format. The survey maker explains how drafts are built.

Text, voice or video, right on the page

Open questions on your site accept the same three formats as any Asked survey. A visitor on a phone can tap Voice and explain in a few seconds, or tap Video to show what they see. Recording runs in the browser, inside the embed, without sending them elsewhere. More on the formats on video feedback and voice feedback.

Matches your site, loads fast

From Growth up, embeds carry your colors and logo and the Asked badge is removed. The embed is a small snippet you paste once. If you prefer not to embed, link to the survey from any button or banner instead.

Answers analyzed as they arrive

Every answer from your site goes through the same analysis as any other channel. You see themes per page, sentiment per answer and quotes with timestamps, then share the one-page summary with the team that owns the page. Read about it on survey analysis software.

Respectful of your visitors

Website surveys appear only where you place them. Answers stay in your workspace, publishing requires the respondent's consent checkbox, and you set retention per survey. Our survey data security page explains each control.

Timing rules that keep visitors friendly

A website survey that interrupts too early feels like a pop-up ad. One that appears after a meaningful action feels like a fair question. Choose placements that respect the visit.

  • Prefer a side tab on content pages, where visitors are reading
  • Use a popup after a clear action, such as finishing checkout
  • Place an inline survey at the end of help articles
  • Ask one focused question per page instead of a long form
  • Rotate the question when you have learned enough from it

These choices keep answers honest and keep the rest of your site experience calm.

Website surveys on every plan

Embeds, popups and side tabs are part of all four plans. Responses per month range from 500 on Starter to 40,000 on Enterprise. Compare everything on survey software pricing.
